During the 197th meeting of the Regina Cordium praesidium which was held at The Montfort Spiritual Center of Bay Shore, NY; The Glorious Mysteries of The Rosary were prayed. The Spiritual reading was taken from the Handbook page 41-43 ending at The Second Divine Person, Chapter 7 titled: The Legionary and The Trinity. The Allocutio was given by Father Hugh Gillespie concerning these words of the prayer we say after the Catena: … mercifully grant that whoever comes to you seeking your favors, may rejoice to receive all of them through her. (Our Blessed Mother) This is a very personal and concrete point! Whenever we make an act of total consecration or renew it, we are placing ourselves at the service of Mary through Jesus. The favors of Christ come to us through Mary, our most holy Mother. She is Mediatrix of all graces. We need to remember that the Church is full of members who need graces whether they know it or not. Our work as Legionaries allows us to help more of these members of the Church who may or may not know of their need for graces. We are at the service of Our Lady and The Legion of Mary exists so that these graces can be distributed!! May we always be thankful to belong to the Legion of Mary because our work is so important for all the members of the Church. The Handbook assignment is Chapter 7 page 43-44 ending at Mary’s Relation to the Eternal Father. Our thanks to Father Hugh for celebrating mass as we renewed our Total Consecration to Jesus Through Mary. Our next meeting will be December 6, 2017 at 7PM.
