Weekly Meeting August 2, 2017

During the 181st meeting of the Regina Cordium praesidium which was held at Montfort Spiritual Center of Bay Shore, NY; the Joyful Mysteries were prayed.  The Spiritual reading was taken from the Handbook page 13-15 Chapter 4 titled:  Legionary Service parts 1-4.  The Allocutio was given by Father Hugh Gillespie concerning the Handbook and Legionary Service.  Chapter 4 mentions virtues that come from the Roman Legion such as loyalty, courage, discipline, endurance, and success which is the fruit of the first four virtues.  The goal is always to complete the mission whatever it may be.  Loyalty, courage, discipline, and courage lead us to success.  Our Legionary model is the Roman Legion but not to honor Ceaser.  Instead, we are soldiering forward for the preservation of the Kingdom of God.  May we as Legionaries always practice the virtues of loyalty, courage, discipline, and endurance so we may be successful in preserving God’s Kingdom!  The Handbook assignment is Chapter 4 page 15-17 part 5 titled:  Must “finish the race”.  Our next meeting will be August 9, 2017 at 7PM.
